The Grand Kandyan organized the Interdepartmental Cricket tournament under the patronage of the General Manager Mr. Thusith Samaraweera. The main objectives of this event were to encourage employees from all departments to actively participate in sports and strengthen unity among team members of all departments. The strong team work of the hotel was highlighted throughout the tournament. Front office claimed the championship of the tournament against the housekeeping team. Man of the match trophy was awarded to Priyantha Rupasinghe from Front office . Man of the series was awarded to Linden Antony from House Keeping.
